Yep, You DO Have Time For That
This post is Day #15 in the 31 Days to a Better Work + Life Balance series.
What's That Thing?
That one thing that you've always wanted to do but it feels too far away?
You want to pursue it but just never have enough time to get to it.
Lets just say for a minute that, yep, you do have time for that.
What else would hold you back? Fear of failure? Fear of not knowing enough? Fear of being criticized?
In Isaiah 41 we are told to be brave...
He will help you. Could you ask for a better coach? He not only knows what you need but what others need from you. He sees the big picture and knows exactly how to put your skills and talents to use. He knows what the future holds and has perfect timing. You don't have to be afraid of what might go wrong because He's leading you by the hand.
Okay So Back To Argument #1... "I Never Have Time."
Most likely you don't need as much time as you think you do.
I'm going to challenge you today just to get started. Just start.
Could you spare 15 minutes a day to work on this dream project of yours? Working 15 minute at a time is exactly how I started my business. I didn't have eight hours a day, but I used the small pockets of time until they could grow to bigger ones.
Wake up 15 min earlier. Go to bed 15 min later. Use 15 min of your lunch hour.
Work on it during commercials of your favorite show. Skip one of your usual check-ins on Facebook. Take a shorter shower haha.
Little pockets of time are everywhere. A few minutes spent daily is better than no minutes spent, waiting for your schedule to open up.
If you really want to make something happen, just get started. Research what you need to learn, make notes of what resources you need and work toward your goal in baby steps. Pray when you feel unsure about the next step.
And be brave!! He's got ahold of your hand and His plans for you might just turn out better than you could imagine.
While you're getting started, here are some of my favorites to spur you on...
