Graphics + Illustrations for Winship & Rose
One of the things I love about being a creative is that my work and skills are constantly changing and growing. I love working on a lot of different types of projects at once and being given the chance to try new styles of art.
Even though my design business has focused mostly on print and brand design for the last 10 years, I’ve had seasons of trying out many different types of graphic design. Through a variety of clients and churches, I’ve gotten to try a little bit of website design, video and animation, typography, lettering, designing murals, and even some photography.
The one type of creative design I’ve avoided for the most part is illustration because I’ve never been very skilled at drawing with a pencil and paper. That all changed over the last year as I’ve been learning how to draw via the iPad using Procreate and Illustrator.
What made it even more fun is getting to use those skills to team up with another artist, my mom!
The Winship & Rose Shop
My mom owns a little business called Winship & Rose and has been creating cards, prints, and hand-drawn graphics for the past few years, selling her work in local shops and on Etsy and Creative Market. This year she turned it into a mother-daughter venture which includes me and my sister to help grow her collections. It’s been really fun to try my hand at creating graphics for the Winship & Rose shop.
My Favorite Clip Art Sets
These are a few of the clip art designs I’ve created and am really excited to use!
IPad Tools, Cards & Prints
If you’re in need of a printable card or print design, there are so many cute ones in the shop. We also decided to share the iPad tools and color palettes we use for other artists, so you can check those out as well.
FUTURE PLANS
The hard part has been figuring out how to use the designs! There are so many related fields from surface pattern design to brand packaging and more. We’ll just have to keep experimenting and see how things go!
